The camp is a one week (6 nights), stay-on-site, full-board camp in the pictureque sea-side village of Knockadoon (near Youghal) in East Cork for boys age 12 – 16. The camp will serve as a week of fun, friendship and growing in faith: activities include various sports, canoeing, swimming, hillwalking, music, catechesis and prayer.
The dates of the camp are: Sun 5th (arriving in the evening) – Sat 11th June 2016 (departing in the afternoon of the 11th).
The camp is a joint initiative of the Diocese of Cloyne and the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore Diocese and both Bishop William Crean (Cloyne) and Bishop Alphonsus Cullinane (Waterford and Lismore) have given their support to the camp (see comments below).
About the Camp Venue in Knockadoon
The camp is an initiative of Cloyne Diocese that will utilise a premises that is owned and maintained by the Order of Friars Preachers (Dominicans) in Ireland under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the most Holy Rosary and St Dominic. It is situated in one of the most beautiful and picturesque areas of Ireland, a short distance from the town of Youghal on the east coast of Cork. It is an area of great natural beauty with scenic walking tracks and magnificent views of the Atlantic coast. The campe has a high standard kitchen and chalets for sleeping. The camp has its own chapel and soccer pitch.

Age Restrictions
The camp is for boys who have completed primary school and have not yet reached 17 yoa.

The camp has two dedicate chefs, plus a team of eight leaders to facilitate camp activities.
