The Society of St. Vincent de Paul charity is a Christian Voluntary organization, working with people experiencing poverty and disadvantage.
It is inspired by Frederic Ozanam, founder, and by the teaching of St. Vincent de Paul. The society try to respond to the call of Jesus, “I was hungry and you gave me food” Matt. Ch. 25. They do this by support and friendship, by promoting self sufficiency and working for social Justice.
Those looking for help are assessed by volunteers and a priority list is drawn up at Conference level and a decision made.
The President is Mary Lynch. The HELPLINE is 083/4709147. A collection is taken up after Masses each weekend and at Christmas time to meet present needs.
Do support them with your prayer and finances.
