The officers of the Council were chosen by secret ballad on Monday last and they are as follows:

Chairperson: Teresa McCarthy, (The Park)

Vice-Chairperson: Breda Sheridan,

Secretary: Daniel Cagney,

Assistant Sec: Anita O’ Connell

PRO: Noreen O’ Regan,

At the meeting, members were encouraged to assist in the recruiting of new Readers, Eucharistic Members and Collectors. It was also decided that some formation and practices should be arranged for new members.

A warm welcome was extended to Fr Pat Corkery.  A suggestion was made too to provide a “Welcome” sign in different languages in the porch of the church.

At the first meeting in June members were encouraged to consider providing a suitable prayer book for young people especially for teenagers.  It was a very productive meeting.
