A Parish Mission is a major event in any parish. It takes a lot of preparation and planning. This year as we come out of the pandemic there was the concern that if the cases increased people may not turn out to experience the graces available. We thank God that very many people from the parish and beyond did come to pray and join the missionaries. As one person wrote “The Foot soldiers of God arrived in our town carrying sack loads of blessings on this special Mission. Humble ordinary but extraordinary priests namely Fr Joseph, Fr Bernadino. Fr Oisín, and on the last evening Fr Gabriel on the feast of the Archangels. They gently guided our steps in the direction of God’s love, forgiveness, and healing. (They put particular focus on the Blessed Sacrament each evening and the power of the Eucharistic Lord.)
We emerge from this feeling cleansed, refreshed and renewed. How lucky and grateful are we to the Friars you don’t meet every day. Their lifestyles and the relentless good works they do bear testimony to the Greater Power that is God himself.
We appreciate so much all who helped to make this possible. Mission accomplished!
